We receive the alarm signal and call the homeowner or business contact immediately. You can give us the passcode indicating the alarm was triggered accidentally or if you aren’t sure what caused the alarm, we can help you identify the source (which sensor triggered it) and you tell us if you want police to respond. If you don’t answer or if you give us an incorrect code, we call the police to have them dispatched immediately to your property. Since we are diligent in contacting you immediately, our customers do not experience a high false alarm rate.
Flashing Lights to Indicate an Active Alarm
Another feature unique to Butler Durrell Security is the flashing light on the outside of your home indicating the security system was triggered. If a property owner arrives to the security light flashing they will know that they should not enter the home until police are able to investigate for possible intruders. It also helps police and firefighters find you more easily and lets neighbors know there may be an emergency.
