But their low price is so tempting!
The national companies often quote a security price of their lowest cost system package. That price usually covers two doors, one control panel, and one motion detector. In which two rooms in the house do you want the system installed? Do you have three doors? A walkout basement? Windows? Do you want smartphone or wireless control? Their install price won’t fully secure most homes unless you have a two-room house, no windows and two doors. Those low rate “teaser” security packages rarely include advertised features such as smartphone control.
Questions you should ask before you buy
How long is the contract? Does the equipment belong to you or are you renting it? If you move from that home, what are your obligations? Trying to find out what you are paying for the system and the monthly rate is even more complicated. Even if you do ask all the right questions, many big national security companies give you pricing that is confusing. You have no idea what you are paying overall or per month until you start getting bills.
“Your staff was very courteous in their manner and extremely neat in their work and clean up upon completion of work. Their instructions and assistance in starting up the system were simple and easy to understand.

“First, I would like to thank Butler Durrell Security on making time to fit us in the schedule to install our new alarm system. We were going out of town and did not want the house to be without an alarm. You all fit us in and Sean went above and beyond to be engaging in the installation process. I really do appreciate everything that was done to make the experience a great one! Again, thanks to Butler and Sean.
