2007 Traveling Tips

How to tighten up on security when you are away:

1) Get timers to stagger rooms that are lit up until 11:00 or 12:00 at night

2) Have your neighbors pick up your mail and the newspapers.

3) If we still get a spring snow have a neighbor drive up your driveway to make it look used.

4) Foliage will be out soon – do not let it grow above windows and create areas for burglars to hide and break in.

5) Test your system – look at the directions. If you need any help just call the office we will help you.

6) Check the windows and doors make sure they are locked. Burglars still walk into one half of all homes to burglarize, and do not even need a tool.

7) Make sure your yard sign is out in the front and easy to read. This is your first line of defense and it is reflective to help the police and fire department find your home is needed.
